Opening: Staff Accountant

Location: Anchorage, AK

Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 annually DOE

Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a growing Alaska-based company specializing in the distribution and sales of high-performance construction materials. Known for their commitment to quality and customer service, this company supports commercial and residential contractors across the state with reliable materials and expert support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

• Handle daily accounting functions including AP, AR, and GL maintenance
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
• Manage inventory and cost accounting for material sales
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations
• Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience (construction or distribution industry preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar ERP systems)
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
