Technology – SAP Basis Architect with a focus on S/4 HANA at SAP Rise

Job description

The SAP Basis Architect designs and optimizes SAP system landscapes and ensures scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability. His role includes defining architecture strategies, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring system integration across different environments. The architect works with business and IT stakeholders to align SAP infrastructure with business goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Design of scalable SAP architectures (on SAP Rise)
• Define migration strategies for S/4HANA and cloud adoption
• Evaluate and implement new technologies (e.g., SAP BTP, Kubernetes, or automation tools)
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning
• Performance tuning and optimization of SAP applications

Required

• Expertise in SAP system architecture and infrastructure design
• Good knowledge of SAP HANA, NetWeaver, cloud platforms and SAP Rise
• Experience with SAP migrations, upgrades, and landscape transformations
• Knowledge and experience in dealing with security best practices and compliance standards
• Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• German and English – Business fluent.
• Willingness to travel 3 days/week for on-site assignment at customers – Munich and/or Frankfurt am Main.
