What Your Responsibilities Will Look Like
- Serve as product Subject Matter Expert internally & externally
- Develop and maintain effective, strong working relationships with new and existing clients
- Communicate effectively & autonomously with clients, including executive-level stakeholders, technical resources, and end users
- Support the implementation of project plans in coordination with Project Management
- Perform technical research utilizing systems and data (Microsoft SQL, stored procedures, etc.) to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner
- Transform stakeholder requests and business needs into effective User Stories with appropriate documentation (functional requirements, technical specifications, mapping documents, system designs, etc.) and acceptance criteria
- Manage stakeholder expectations relative to planning & execution by serving as liaison between stakeholders and the Dev Team
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings
- Support DEV & QA throughout the SDLC
- When and where necessary, coordinate development & deployments with corresponding teams
- Perform post-deployment validation
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement (escalating when necessary)
- Ability to support business travel if necessary
Qualifications To Be a Business Systems Analyst
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analysis role or related role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is ideal
- Expertise in business systems analysis, project management, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Working knowledge of and experience with relational databases (SQL), querying data, and reading code
- Excellent analysis, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Experience performing post-deployment validation
- Excellent written communication skills – documentation, flowcharts, & presentations
- Excellent verbal communication skills – business partners, senior executives, developers, & other cross-functional team members
- Ability to work independently & effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Experience w/ the Agile methodology
- Experience w/ Product Management/Development Tools (Jira, Azure/TFS, etc.)
- Experience w/ DevSecOps & Continuous Delivery/Improvement
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktops, servers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Does require some travel.
