We're looking for Data Engineers to:
- Contribute expertise to enhance and develop the evolving monitoring landscape through data
engineering.
- Design, plan, and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
- Analyse business requirements from stakeholders and develop partnerships within Technology
Services to deliver cross-steam solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support our goals in building proactive
monitoring solutions that enhance our application reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application
architecture, design, and other phases of SDLC.
- Ensure proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process deployments from
test to production.
- Provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as
digital leaders in financial services.
Your team
You'll be working in End User Services - Infrastructure Operations, as part of the SRE Monitoring team in
Hyderabad. We manage and deliver innovative monitoring using underlying data frameworks, telemetry
and modern tools across the End User Infrastructure portfolio. We collaborate across our wider
Technology Services organization to drive cutting edge monitoring to proactively increase system
reliability.
As a Data Engineer, you'll play an important role in providing stable and reliable monitoring using data
for determining patterns and correlations of interest.
Your expertise
- Utilize equivalent Cloud-based telemetry data framework (e.g. Event Hubs, Azure Data Explorer,
Azure Monitor) for ingestion of monitoring data.
- Leverage Azure Data Explorer and Kusto Query Language (or equivalent) for data analysis and
querying.
- Apply Python programming skills to develop clean code that is stable, consistent, and wellperforming
- Experience in monitoring infrastructure, managing escalations, and ensuring timely issue
resolution to maintain operational stability and stakeholder satisfaction
- Knowledge to apply standards, methods, techniques, and templates as defined by our SDLC
- Develop and maintain solutions deployed in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Develop Pipelines and PowerShell/Python automations to deploy solutions through the enterprise
Your background
- Maths and statistics background
- At least 5 years working with systems monitoring
- At least 3 years working with large data sets (SQL Warehouse, Informatica)
- 10 years technical background
- Collaboration with EMEA and Americas peers necessitates you work an EMEA shift pattern
- Experience of being part of an Infrastructure Operations or Engineering team
