Job Description Member of Test & Validation team in Powertrain department in Santa Clara, US. Sr. Test & Validation Engineer for HV-PM functions, as key member of T&V team, will lead the testing and documentation of related powertrain functionalities ensuring accuracy, quality and function integrity. 2. Responsible for system integration, test & validation of powertrain functions at electric vehicles focused on High Voltage Power Management functions covering HV powerup/down, Pre-Charge/Active Discharge procedures, DCDC control, Energy/Power Management, remote/manual climate functions, driver information, Fault management and failsafe modes. Support for testing of related diagnostic functionalities. Â 3. Definition of test plan according to function integration plan and vehicle milestones. Test strategy alignment & coordination with Powertrain colleagues in Nanjing, China. 4. Generation of test cases, test execution and test reports according to functional requirements, safety goals and functional safety requirements. 5. Responsible for function release test and documentation at system and vehicle level. Support vehicle updates hardware/software and vehicle instrumentation. 6. Failure analysis, reporting, tracking of issue resolution and bugfix testing plan. 7. Work with powertrain lab engineers to define configurations, test procedures and automation on testing labs for component, system and vehicle level. 8. Work with component owners (Battery, E-Motor, Charger, DCDC, Climate Unit, Connectivity, UI/UX) and VCU software development team to define testing strategy along the V-model to ensure maximum coverage and achievement of function maturity targets. Qualifications More than 8 years, with relevant experience within the automotive industry. More than 5 years, experience in powertrain integration, test & validation for HEV, PHEV or BEV. Strong knowledge of electric vehicle functions (HV Power/Energy Management, HV Safety). Strong knowledge of electric vehicle architectures (HV and EE architecture). Good understanding of vehicle development process and testing plan Good understanding of thermal management functions for electric vehicles. Proficient in use of software tools such as CANoe,CANape/INCA. Proficient in use of tools & equipment for LV and HV analog measurements. Experience in VCU /BMS/Charger software & hardware development is advantageous. Experience in EV test bench (HIL, Labcar, PIL) & EV vehicle build up is advantageous. Experience in EE integration, test & validation is advantageous. Experience in Functional Safety or Failure Mode Analysis at system/component level is advantageous. Familiar with international / national electrical safety standards.
