Summary

As a Sr. Technical Program manager, you will lead the end-to-end development and execution of Connected Services Diagnostics Tooling Apps. Drive design, development, release, validation, and launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. Proactively manage risks, balance cost and schedule, and ensure clear communication of program status. Be the key advocate for Tooling Apps within the Connected Services team. This role is located at our Palo Alto, California office and reports directly to the manager TPM, Factory, Service and Fleet Apps.

 

  • Lead the development of dashboards and visualization libraries to provide insights and data visualization for diagnostics and other functions.

  • Manage the middleware layers in the frontend sphere, integrating various APIs such as vehicle systems & cloud systems. This includes providing a bridge between off-vehicle clients and on-vehicle systems and ECUs

  • Scope out project plans to track metrics, error reporting systems, and pipelines to allow users to report bugs with various logs. 

  • Coordinate with teams that are implementing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) as an SDK to enable other teams to utilize these codes effectively for debugging

  • Partner with the factory and service teams to ensure timelines are met and resolve integration challenges.

  • Lead design reviews, drive integration solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Generate meaningful metrics and provide regular updates on program deliverables.

  • Act as a key problem-solver and roadblock remover, communicating updates across teams.

  • Engage with Product Development and Software teams to address critical paths and challenges.

 

  • 6+ years of experience on a program team or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • Strong understanding of software  development lifecycle, from design to production.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience in product release, automotive quality processes, and automotive OTA systems.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software system principles.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and create new collaboration frameworks.

  • Experience with Atlassian/Jira is a plus.
