Job Overview:

Looking for a Sr Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across public/private cloud and on-prem solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in system architecture, optimization, automation, and supporting enterprise networks, storage, and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain operating systems, applications, hardware, virtualization, and storage systems
• Maintain security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Write scripts to automate tasks and increase system efficiency
• Ensure high availability and performance across systems
• Monitor infrastructure and resolve issues via on-call support
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support and collaborate with vendors
• Update technical documentation and procedures

Requirements:

• Proficiency with Linux, VMware, and datacenter hardware (e.g., Dell, Cisco, PureStorage)
• Experience with Storage Area Networks and software-defined file systems (e.g. FlashArray, vSAN), backup platforms (e.g., Rubrik), and networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing/switching)
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred:

• Cloud experience (AWS)
• Experience with application stack administration, configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
• Familiarity with CheckMK monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
