Summary

* Senior Splunk Engineer needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Herndon, Virginia. Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is Required! Responsibilities * Have an initial understanding of the most effective and efficient process to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement. * Begin to develop the ability to make sense of complex information to effectively solve problems, reaching out to mentors for guidance when necessary. * Spend 10% of the time focusing on training and fine-tuning skills. * Spend 90% of the time on engagements. * Execute all tasks outlined in the scope of work and follow standard operating procedures with minimal oversight. * Work with clients to analyze and understand their needs and objectives. * Collaborate with senior engineers on more complex engagements. * Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after project implementation. * Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams or engineers as necessary. * Document project progress, issues, and resolutions in a concise and timely manner. * Consistently self-review work to identify and improve approaches for producing high-quality work. * Sales and Client Engagement * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction. * Adhere to availability standards for responding to client inquiries. * Communicate technical concepts effectively to clients. * Identify and communicate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with the account team across services. * Talent Development * Demonstrate proactive engagement in obtaining and maintaining certifications and cultivating technical proficiency in accordance with industry standards. * Provide input to leadership on needed training and development. * Proactively engage with mentors for assistance and guidance, as necessary. * Shadow colleagues and actively participate in practical exercises within the company's lab while not assigned to an engagement. * Qualifications * Currently holds a Top-Secret/SCI with a full-scope poly required. * Experience operating in classified environments. * Bachelor's degree in a related area or at least 4 years of related work experience. * Splunk industry certifications. * Strong background with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security. * Understanding of identity, SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts. * Understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC. * Understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. * Willingness to travel to meet client needs. * Employment Pre-requisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: Successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
