Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Specialist, Program Financial Analyst.
Essential Functions
Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Makes improvements to systems and processes.
Contributes to departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on results.
Responsible for maintaining Earned Value Management (EVM) data integrity for multiple programs using COBRA and SAP.
Forecasts financial performance metrics for programs.
Conducts weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting and variance analysis for financial planning, including profitability and cash flow.
Creates, maintains, and updates projects in SAP.
Ensures EAC (Estimate at Completion) accuracy for assigned efforts.
Works independently and may mentor junior team members.
Creates Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) deliverables (Formats 1 5, 7).
Reviews variance reports with CAM input.
Develops and maintains program baseline budgets.
Prepares moderately complex cost estimates and pricing data for proposals.
Supports internal and external audits.
Provides ad hoc financial analysis.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and multitasking in fast-paced environments.
Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
6+ years of relevant experience (or 4+ years with a graduate degree). In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with COBRA/SAP.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Expertise in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts and processes.
Experience with financial management, risk analysis, cost estimating, change and configuration management, and operations support.
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance guides such as ANSI-748-D, EVMIG, and NDIA Intent Guides.
Preferred Additional Skills
MBA or CPA.
Experience in leadership development programs.
Background in managing financials for complex programs.
Knowledge of government contracts and funding profiles.
Experience with CPAF, CPFF, T&M, FFP contract types.
Strong computer and analytical skills.
Certifications such as PMP, EVMP, or similar.
