Location: Remote (Primary) with occasional on-site activities in the National Capital Region (primarily in Quantico, VA and Ft Meade, MD)

Summary
As a Solutions Architect you will design and implement innovative technical solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development, systems, and enterprise architecture, as well as integration strategies. You will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, create architectural blueprints, model these blueprints in enterprise architecture (EA) tools, and advise development teams throughout the implementation process. This role requires both independent work and collaboration under the guidance of team and program leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the change in defining and maintaining enterprise architecture.
- Support strategic technology roadmap objectives.
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight.
- Design innovative technical solutions.
- Drive multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Present proposals and participate in technical review meetings.
Required Skills
- Experience working in a Federal (DoD preferred) environment (e.g., Program Management Office (PMO) or Program Executive Office (PEO)).
- Strong background in cloud or systems architecture.
- Excellent technical writing and information management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Strong intellectual curiosity.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Experience with cloud migration for complex IT systems or applications.
- Familiarity with Federal standards (e.g., FEDRAMP) and NIST-based cloud security.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF) and modeling tools (e.g., CAMEO, EA Sparx).
- Knowledge of development methodologies (e.g., Lean Agile, Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)).
- Proficiency in AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 8-10 years of experience providing solutions architecture services for federal or commercial enterprise customers.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DoDAF, TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are preferred.
