Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing analysis of technical specifications, test design and execution for complex custom developed software in order to meet overall quality targets for acceptance by internal and external Clients. The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, develops and writes test cases using various tools, supports the development team in the in the execution of manual and automated testing solutions and the resolution of defects to support contractual delivery obligations and SLA’s. Essential Functions: Represents the QA function as a core member of the Development organization to analyze technical specifications, create and execute test plans and scenarios for custom developed software solutions using both manual and automated test processes Complies with development and operational Policies and Procedures in support of Payment Card Industry (PCI) Audit and security requirements Work with the project lead on Microsoft SQL Server Management Module to build test accounts needed for product testing. Perform assigned tasks related to test design, test execution by being an integral member of the Technology Development Team. Is able to independently make use of team identified Defect Management System and successful performs effective defect management through the project lifecycle. Contributes to the development and implementation of SQA standards, processes, procedures and documentation Prepares summarized test reports to be consumed by Project Lead Ability to work on company identified Automation tools and execute Automation scripts Work with team members to update existing scripts Supports multiple projects on a day-to-day basis Participates in Development Team and Project-oriented meetings Performs integration, system and functional testing on development projects Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required or four (4) years of related experience At least Two (2) years of API Testing experience with tools such as SoapUI, Postman Minimum Four (4) years of manual testing is required Web based application experience is required Proficient in usage of Test Management tools such as JIRA and Team Foundation Server Proficient in usage of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of Financial Services Industry and/or Credit Card added experience Summary of Qualifications: Strong background in SQA processes and SDLC; including requirements analysis, test design, test case validation, defect management and reporting. Proficient in usage of Test Management tools such as JIRA and Team Foundation Server Proficient in usage of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Proficient in MS Office software is mandatory Familiarity with Credit Card and Installment Loan business processes are a plus but not required Effective in understanding process details and working across multiple teams to formulate and execute test cases Ability to manage multiple short and long term project tasks in parallel within timeframes assigned based upon Client and project deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential Ability to create accurate and understandable test case documentation for complex functions and processes Assist in identification of technical impact and task/schedule implications for project planning purposes Ability to work independently and as a team member to interpret needs and translation into testing requirements and plans Problem solving capabilities and ability to focus on root cause and resolution Ability to effectively communicate with others and to assimilate and understand business and technical information, in a manner consistent with essential job functions Ability to compose communications, written or verbal to fit the needs of the audience Ability to work under pressure and support the delivery of Client and Operational solutions within stringent deadlines Flexibility and willingness to work at a rapid pace without every detail documented and locked down Ability to interface with team members in a professional and understandable manner Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
