As a member of the Connected Services team, you will play a key role in developing the next-generation Vehicle SaaS platform. This team will design, build, and maintain the core application platform and tools that enable us to manage and serve both internal and external customers. You will support seamless integrations and deliver modular SaaS solutions. The team focuses on real-time data streaming, telematics, and integrations for direct B2B clients, connected data providers, and EV enthusiasts.
We are looking for a talented and driven individual to join our team as we build and evolve our cutting-edge B2B portal within the Vehicle SaaS platform. In this role, you will focus on providing robust APIs and seamless streaming data synchronization to ensure smooth interactions between our platform and external customers. You will also be responsible for developing SDKs and reusable components that empower customers to integrate with our platform effortlessly.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver a best-in-class SaaS application that meets the needs of a dynamic and growing customer base. Working within a small, agile team, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, helping drive innovation and excellence in everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of connected vehicle services and build solutions that support the needs of both B2B clients and external users. This role will be located at our Palo Alto office and report directly to the Senior Manager, Fleet Applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure full-stack applications for Rivian Volkswagen Technologies' connected services.
- API Development: Contribute to the design and development of RESTful APIs that adhere to industry best practices and meet the needs of various consumers (mobile apps, third-party developers).
- Collaboration: Work effectively with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality standards.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in full-stack development and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack development.
- Technical Skills:
- Frontend: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), HTML, CSS, and responsive design. Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex) and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
- Backend: Strong knowledge of at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java) and experience building RESTful APIs. Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Agile: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $149,600 to $183,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full-time employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment
