We seek a Senior SD WAN Network Firewall Engineer to join our Dexian team embedded in our client, a global energy provider in Budapest. This is a permanent role onsite at the client's business centre in Budapest. It is an open-ended, long-term role.

The Network Infrastructure team in Budapest is responsible for maintaining and developing the entire European network of our client. Be it office locations, plants, refineries, retail locations or offshore oil platforms, Budapest is supporting the most critical IT backbone of the company.

Engineer and implement infrastructure solutions and keep pushing the envelope when it comes to reliability, speed and security using industry standard solutions and manufacturers.

Certificates summary

• Required:

- CCNP or CCNA with practical experience can also be accepted.

• Desired:

- CCNP (ENCOR + any wireless or SDWAN-centric concentration exam)

- Fortinet/FortiGate FCP Network Security

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and perform implementation activities for all service and customer projects (based on Engineering deliverables)

• Perform Quality Assurance activities for Engineering designs, which include identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering

• Utilise industry standard solutions and manufacturers with the possibility of continuous training to obtain the latest certificates needed for your job

• Primary contact for vendors in support of operational problems.

• Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables and handover of technology and service to operations

• Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models and workflow automation

• Assist with both development and maintenance

Required Technical Skills:

• 6-10 or more years of Network Engineering experience

• IT, Engineering, or equivalent degree

• Strong IT technical foundation and aptitude for fast learning

• Expert hands-on experience in different network technologies like Cisco Routing and Switching, Network Security, Network Automation – CCNP-equivalent or above. Troubleshooting/operational background is also preferred.

Desired Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience and candid interest in SDWAN technologies (Versa is preferred)

- Equal to Versa SD-WAN Administrator Specialist/professional or Cisco ENSDWI concentration exam level (done with ENCOR)

• Strong, proven hands-on firewall skills in Cisco/ASA & Firepower and/or in next-gen Fortinet/FortiGate (FCP Network Security cert or above).

• Wireless experience (including fieldwork)/background and desire in development in this skill area as well.

• Open for occasional on-call or after-hours support

• Automation skills are also great plus – Python, Ansible, Nautobot, etc.
