About GetInsured:
What started as the “Expedia” of health insurance, has grown to a market leading company that is transforming government IT infrastructures with our proven SaaS and AI technology. Our innovative approach to health insurance shopping and enrollment has expanded beyond exchanges, and we’re now reinventing the way states administer safety net programs such as Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), child care, and unemployment insurance. With our cutting-edge technology, we’re helping agencies help more people, faster, and transforming health care service delivery as we know it.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to coordinate and communicate our engineering-driven technology platform upgrade initiatives, and ensure a seamless, efficient, and reliable release process. This individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, QA, product and client success teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver platform technology enhancements that align with long-term architectural goals and business objectives.
A critical part of this role is advocating for and facilitating the reduction of technical debt—enabling the business to move faster, scale confidently, and reduce long-term risk. You’ll play a key role in helping both internal and external stakeholders—including enterprise clients—understand why technical debt matters, how it impacts performance and stability, and what steps are being taken to address it strategically.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving platform modernization, managing technical risk, optimizing our CI/CD pipeline to support scalable and consistent delivery practices, and keeping stakeholders informed of it all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the roadmap for platform upgrades (e.g., infrastructure, database, middleware, libraries, language/runtime versions) and align with overall product strategy and engineering architecture.
- Advocate for and facilitate reduction of technical debt by identifying aging components, enabling modernization efforts, and aligning stakeholders on long-term platform health.
- Act as a bridge between platform engineering teams and both internal and external customers to ensure technical project benefits and impact are well understood.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and safe rollout of upgrades and platform-level changes.
- Drive automation and tooling improvements to streamline deployments, reduce manual errors, and improve release velocity.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to track the health of platform services and the efficiency of release processes.
- Champion best practices for backward compatibility, version control, and rollback strategies.
- Communicate technical initiatives, timelines, and risks to leadership and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Key Representative Deliverables:
- Platform Upgrade Roadmap: Plan for infrastructure upgrades, aligned with technical and business goals.
- Risk Assessments: Impact and risk analysis for major upgrades with mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Updates: Clear, regular communications to internal customers (ex: dev teams reliant on stable infrastructure) and large enterprise customers.
- Release Process Framework: Procedures to ensure smooth, predictable deployments.
- CI/CD Enhancements: Initiatives to improve automation, reliability, and developer efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management or a related field, preferably in SaaS or platform-focused environments.
- Strong technical background with understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.

- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills—able to align cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, etc.

Nice to Have:
- Previous experience working on enterprise-grade platform teams or developer enablement tools.
- Knowledge of compliance/regulatory release requirements (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools.
What You’ll Bring:
- A passion for improving platform resilience and developer productivity.
- An obsession with reducing friction in release processes and a mindset of continuous improvement.
