Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Coordinator on behalf of our client in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for processing complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment for a large hourly and salaried workforce. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll best practices, familiarity with union environments (if applicable), and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and incentive pay.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Maintain payroll records, employee data, and timekeeping systems.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll processes.
• Manage payroll-related inquiries and provide timely, professional responses to employees.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and year-end processing, including W-2s and tax filings.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
• Stay up to date with changes in labor laws and payroll regulations, especially those relevant to the manufacturing sector.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices.
• Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday).
• Experience with timekeeping systems and interpreting complex pay policies.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

• CPP or FPC certification.
