Job Summary – Sr. Oracle Database Developer (ADP, Parsippany, NJ)

Hands-on, senior-level Oracle Database Developer supporting a Payroll Platform at ADP.
Focused on high-performance database development (not infrastructure/DBA).
Responsibilities include writing and optimizing Oracle SQL/PLSQL queries, improving system performance, and delivering scalable data solutions.
Must have strong and recent (last 5 years) Oracle SQL/PLSQL experience; some prior MS SQL experience is helpful but not required.
Experience with PostgreSQL is required.
Deep knowledge of Oracle database features; Oracle VPD experience preferred.
Scripting experience required (Python preferred, Shell scripting).
Experience with Linux OS (RedHat).
Familiarity with application deployment, automations, and DevOps tools (Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible).
Understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
Nice to have: Liquibase, Oracle Certification, Java and Hibernate development, experience with Oracle Cloud Control, Golden Gate, and Golden Gate BDA.
Local to Parsippany, NJ; hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week.
