Our Client is seeking a Device Validation & Certification Engineer to support device launches and new feature rollouts for Android, iOS devices, wearables, and BYOD use cases. This role involves testing, debugging, and certifying mobile devices, ensuring smooth operation within 4G, 5G NSA, 5G SA, and VoLTE/VoNR network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct device validation & certification for mobile devices, wearables, and other wireless technologies.
• Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with business and user experience requirements.
• Analyze and triage defects from device testing logs, coordinating debugging efforts with OEMs and engineering teams.
• Support new feature rollouts such as WiFi data offload, CBRS networks, mmWave, 5G SA, and VoNR.
• Ensure compliance with NDA policies while working on confidential projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive device launch success and meet business objectives.
• Execute and refine sanity test plans on automation platforms.
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

✔ 3+ years of device testing & certification experience (lab or field).

✔ Strong understanding of wireless technologies (VoLTE, VoNR, 4G, 5G SA/NSA).

✔ 3+ years of experience in triaging device defects on Android/iOS devices.

✔ 2+ years of experience with device logging tools (QXDM, Shannon, etc.).

✔ Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

✔ BS/BE degree in Engineering or related field (strongly preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

➕ Master’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience.

➕ Strong knowledge of 4G & 5G (SA/NSA) call flows & network architecture.

➕ 3+ years of experience testing iOS & Android devices in a carrier lab/field environment.

➕ 2+ years of experience managing requirements in JIRA or equivalent.

➕ Experience with device testing automation and test script development.

100% On-Site in Atlanta, GA – Must be available from Day 1.

Open to relocation candidates willing to be onsite full-time.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
