Work Location: Remote, on-site as needed

Work Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Here Is What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years in solution architecture, system integration, or interoperability.
  • 5+ years in an IT leadership role
  • Expertise in integration platforms like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, or similar tools.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability (e.g., FHIR, HL7) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in APIs, microservices architecture, and middleware technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and data transformation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

A Day in the Life of a Sr. Manager of Interoperability Solutions:

  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Develop and implement interoperability strategies and frameworks that align with organizational goals.
    • Design scalable and secure integration solutions using industry standards and best practices.
    • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
    • Design and manage integrations between systems, applications, and third-party services.
    • Ensure seamless data exchange using standards such as HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and SOAP.
    • Implement data transformation, mapping, and orchestration processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance during project planning and execution phases.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
    • Configure and deploy integration platforms, middleware, and tools.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot system interfaces and integration points to ensure reliability.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of architectures, workflows, and processes.
    • Ensure all interoperability solutions comply with industry regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, GDPR, or other relevant frameworks.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and standards in interoperability and integration.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve integration processes.
    • Drive innovation in interoperability solutions to address evolving business and technical challenges.
    • Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of integration/interoperability and operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Will be responsible for annual reviews, development and performance management of the team.
