Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The Sr Manager Manufacturing Programs will lead the end-to-end program management for Kuiper's Line Replacement Units (LRUs), ensuring seamless production execution and material availability. This role will work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and other key stakeholders to drive manufacturing excellence and meet production targets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/satellite programs, implementing process improvements, driving cost reduction initiatives, and resolving operational challenges in a high-volume production environment.
This role will partner with Operations teams, Supply Chain, Engineering and Production teams to establish and execute comprehensive programs that drive operational excellence across Kuiper's LRU production. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring material availability and maintaining production readiness while simultaneously driving efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives to meet critical business targets. Through strategic coordination with cross-functional teams, they will manage the implementation of process changes and develop transition planning strategies that maintain production continuity. The role demands strong leadership in resolving operational challenges by fostering collaboration between production, supply chain, and operations teams. This integrated approach ensures smooth production flow while maintaining the high quality standards essential for satellite hardware manufacturing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field
* 10+ years of experience in program management
* 10+ years of experience in aerospace/satellite operations
* 10+ years of experience managing complex programs with cross-functional teams
* Experience with process improvement and optimization
* Demonstrated track record in implementing cost reduction initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
* 10+ years of experience in satellite/aerospace programs
* Experience with high-volume manufacturing operations
* Strong background in operations management
* Experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment
* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
