Overview
The Sr Manager Talent Management is responsible for actively managing and driving organization-wide talent efforts of all talent management programs and processes, focusing on implementing performance management, career management, talent assessments, and succession planning and using leadership tools to lead teams and leaders to drive performance excellence. The role directly reports to the HR Director and routinely interacts with Human Resources, Executive Management, Managers, Employees, Vendors.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the leadership and HR teams to implement all talent processes (succession planning, leadership assessment, performance management, career development, and talent assessment).
Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development, and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.
Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
Participate in organizational strategic planning with the Global Talent & Organizational Development Team and Business Line Leadership Team.
Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention and employee engagement.
Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the Company's diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan.
Conduct training as required, such as delivering CB&I’s management training and Optimizing Performance Workshops.
Ensure that organization-wide Talent Management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
Use statistical analysis regarding talent data for data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
Actively coach and educate leaders and HR business partners.
Build, coach, and facilitate effective team build activities and development activities, and support the leaders in creating an engaged environment.
Participate in the global rollout of development programs including but not limited to Coaching, mentoring, leadership skills, high-potential development.
Champion the individual development of employees across multiple regions.
Position requires working in a hands-on, project-driven environment.
Deliver psychometric assessments such as 360, DiSC, Hogan, and Clifton Strengths.
Qualifications
Typically, 10-15 years of relevant Talent Management experience
3+ years in a manager role
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent years’ of experience
SHRM or other HR professional certification preferred
Experience with labor relations and union environments
Experience and knowledge of the Engineering & Construction industry
Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, and succession planning.
Experience in the development and implementation of learning and development initiatives.
