Summary
The Sr. Manager Distribution Excellence Capabilities will be responsible for deploying and executing a comprehensive distribution strategy that drives efficiency, consolidation, and superior performance across our distribution network. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our supply chain operations, overseeing the performance of distribution partners, and ensuring strong governance with the regions.
Accountabilities
Global Distribution Strategy Development
Execute at a global distribution strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and operational goals. Exceed AOP targets set out at the beginning of the fiscal year
Work with Regional Distribution managers to ensure our go to market strategy is consistent and regionally adaptable for local needs. The framework will be consistent with good distribution management standards, AOP targets, QTR business reviews, Incentive programs, Marketing plans, technical service, training programs and key customer engagement.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) for distributors, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new distribution opportunities and assess the competitive landscape
Collaboration: Work closely with regional sales team, marketing, and logistics teams to align distribution strategies with overall business objectives
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in distribution network and work with regions to develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
Global distributor relationship management
CoE will develop distributor AOP framework, deployment of framework will be one of the top responsibilities of this role
Quarterly business review with global and local distributors as part of the governance
Develop incentive programs for distributor reps and distribution partners
Working side by side with marketing, on marketing collateral and plans for optimal customer engagement
Work with local technical service team to ensure the appropriate level of expertise is deployed
In partnership with the regions, help develop distribution training guides, deploy minimal training standards
Governance of Distribution Partners
Establish governance frameworks to manage relationships with distribution partners effectively.
Develop and implement policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on distribution performance, including analysis of key metrics and recommendations for improvements
Conduct regular audits and assessments of distribution partners to ensure adherence to agreed service levels and contract terms
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience in managing distribution networks in the food industry or similar sectors is highly preferred.
Direct selling and customer negotiation at senior level
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing complex distribution systems.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and distribution technology.
Advanced communication skills for regular interactions and influencing with senior internal and external stakeholders. Able to influence managed areas and persuade peers and key decision makers.
Problems faced are complex and may require multidimensional solutions and thought leadership.
Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and an ability to communicate with internal regional stakeholders and global distributors.
Supervisor Org: Commercial Transformation
Location: Global - must be near office
In compliance with US pay transparency the salary range is $115,000 - $165,000.This is the indicative range for the role should it be based in the US but note that each geography carries specific salary ranges for the role reflective of local market conditions
Salary Grade: 6
