Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Insurance Associate to support our insurance operations in various departments, including policy administration, claims processing, billing, underwriting, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an understanding of insurance processes, and a passion for providing exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Administration:
Administer policy lifecycle including issuance, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy in policy records.
Maintain and update policyholder information in the system.
Claims Processing And Management
Oversee the intake, evaluation, and settlement of insurance claims.
Coordinate with claims adjusters, legal teams, and service providers.
Ensure timely and accurate claim payouts while mitigating risk.
Premium Billing And Collections
Generate premium invoices, ensure accurate premium calculations, and handle collections.
Monitor overdue payments and initiate follow-up actions for collections.
Coordinate with customers on premium payment plans and adjustments.
Underwriting Support
Assist in collecting data for risk assessments and policy underwriting.
Coordinate with underwriters to gather necessary documentation and information.
Support in determining coverage terms, pricing, and risk classification.
Data Analytics And Reporting
Analyze and interpret insurance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, claims, and financial metrics.
Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategy development.
Reinsurance Accounting
Manage financial records related to reinsurance agreements and transactions.
Ensure accurate reporting of reinsurance recoverable, premiums, and claims.
Reconcile reinsurance accounts and coordinate with reinsurers on payments and claims.
Commission Processing
Calculate and process commission payments for agents and brokers.
Ensure timely disbursement and accuracy in commission calculations.
Maintain records of commission transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Fraud Detection And Prevention
Monitor transactions and claims for potential fraud indicators.
Investigate and report suspected fraudulent activities in policies and claims.
Implement measures and controls to reduce fraud risks across the organization.
Customer Service And Support
Address policyholder inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.
Provide assistance with policy changes, billing inquiries, and claim statuses.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance or a related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of insurance terminology and practices
