Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Finance Manager to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategy to support organizational goals. This role requires a results-driven individual with a strong background in financial management and the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams. Previous private equity experience preferred. This position has a hybrid schedule & is on-site 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee financial planning and analysis functions to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement advanced financial models to evaluate business decisions, economic scenarios, and investment opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize financial reports to assist in budget planning, cost management, and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate and manage financial projects, ensuring high-quality methodologies and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to deliver financial insights that drive decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare compelling executive-level presentations and communications backed by thorough data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience in private equity or working within a PE-backed organization is a plus.
  • Proficiency in FP& A tools such as Certinia and Adaptive Insights, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to develop and monitor KPIs and strategic metrics.
  • Solid understanding of annual and strategic planning processes.
