What to expect:

  • The role is to support the engineering development of ADAS HMI function for series production. Once the concept is designed the corresponding concept needs to be translated in engineering requirement which starts with high level customer requirement and follow up with writing in pseudo-code level requirement in modeling environment taking into consideration vehicle architecture and corresponding signal database. The entire requirement package will be provided to supplier to develop SW in HW platform.
    • Once SW is delivered by supplier this position will be responsible to perform integration testing in HIL/SIL lab and after successful testing the same need to be verified and validated in target vehicle environment along with the corresponding ADAS feature.
    • This position also needs to coordinate with cross functional team of ADAS and HMI team who are located both in US and Germany.
Responsibilities:

HMI System engineering document creation (30%)

  • Review with HMI concept designer to understand sequence of events and interface with ADAS features. Setup function/HMI state machines. Derive technical HMI requirements regarding in-vehicle communication. Align function behavior with partner ECUs
  • Design requirement document at user level in OEM system as per internal requirement guidelines.
  • Design pseudo-code level requirement based on customer requirement taking into consideration existing design and vehicle architecture.

HMI system integration, verification and validation – (50%)

  • Creating test catalogue based on the design document. Setup market specific test cases
  • Once software is delivered by supplier based on the design documents, the same needs to be integrated in target hardware along with ADAS domain controller for verification of SW.
  • Design and perform software in loop testing (regression testing). Test/validate technical HMI component
  • Integrate HW/SW in vehicle environment for in-vehicle testing of HMI-ADAS integration testing. Generate simulation data (CAN-FD + Ethernet + FlexRay-Bus- communication)

Documentation and Project Management (20%)

  • All the test cases, result and bug-fixing needs to be managed in internal tracking system as this will be the input for sign-off of the software release in production.
  • Also many of the platform owners are located in Germany so it needs strong coordination/cooperation with them.

  • Knowledge of in-vehicle communication networks (CAN-FD, Ethernet, FlexRay)
  • Experience with vehicle systems integration and validation
  • Proficiency in using requirements management and bug-tracking tools
  • Ability to create and execute test plans and manage test documentation
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work with global cross-functional teams
