In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse range of technologies within our R&D department. Embedded Software is playing a key role in overcoming the challenge of increasing speeds and complexity of our products.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer (Embedded) you will working in the maintenance of a collection of applications that run on a variety of embedded control nodes that make up a large part of the logistic system and where needed expansion of functionality or re-design for end-of-life components.
Your Profile
You design and implement software for embedded controllers;
Hardware selection, design and production in cooperation with external companies;
Control quality and testing of developed software;
Analyse bottlenecks in processes and tooling and generate recommendations for improvements;
Pro-active coordination and communication with internal and external specialists, project leader and other stakeholders.
Your Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant technical subject;
You enjoy the challenge of maintaining real-time firmware with ‘innovative’ technologies
At least 5 years of relevant working experience
Experience working with C.
Experience with Real Time Systems
Experience with bare metal development
Experience with ARM Cortex M architecture, STM32
Knowledge of embedded systems and industrial networks e.g. ProfiNet, CIP EtherNet/IP,
Knowledge of electronics with the ability to read schematics
Able to troubleshoot basic electronics
Knowledge of industrial field busses, I/O, sensors, actuators e.g. BLDC motors to large motor drives
Experience with requirements engineering, design and development processes like V-model, Scrum and Agile. Willing to work in the SAFe framework.
Experience in handling technical debt while supporting development
Enjoy being responsible and lead the improvements on technical debt in the embedded application

This position offers a competitive salary range of €4.246 up to €5.673 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
