Director, Head of Threat Detection and Analytics
This position will lead the transformation and management of JLL's global threat detection and analytics program, to include SIEM and XDR capabilities. The Head of Threat Detection and Analytics will manage a team responsible for ensuring that the Global Cyber Defense organization has early detection of threats capable of exploiting our attack surface across user systems, web applications, cloud infrastructure, physical structures, third party connections, and other vectors. We are looking for a highly technical leader adept of both deeply understanding cyber threat attack methodologies, as well as engineering solutions across custom-built and best-of-breed commercial detection and response technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
* Architect and lead engineering efforts in building scalable threat detection and security analytics platforms
* Develop automated pipelines for deploying and managing threat detection and security analytics platform infrastructure and configurations as code
* Define threat detection and security analytics platform SLAs in alignment with end-user requirements and ensure they can be consistently achieved
* Design logging and detection strategies commensurate with the rapidly escalating cyber threat environment
* Collaborate with offensive security, threat hunting, and security monitoring teams to ensure complete and accurate telemetry is available and appropriately enriched
* Build automation into the detection and response to minimize key drivers such as mean time to detect, mean time to assign, and mean time to respond to cyber threats
* Develop and collect meaningful metrics related to log and alert coverage and quality
* Collaborate with security architects and engineering leaders to ensure system designs and telemetry are maximally enabling of threat detection capabilities
* Build and lead a highly capable team of threat detection engineers
Job Requirements
* 10+ years of technical cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years of threat detection experience
* Demonstratable experience in designing, delivering, and day-to-day management of SIEM and/or XDR implementations
* Experience managing a team of security engineers
* Experience designing and enabling the implementation of logging standards to support threat detection and response operations
* Experience with implementing threat detection capabilities across cloud-native services in AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Experience delivering detection capabilities specific to insider threat identification and monitoring use cases
* Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners.
* A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
Estimated total compensation for this position:
250,000.00 - 300,000.00 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
