The Data Science & Strategy COE lead will report into the US Head of Insights & Analytics and will set up a CoE that is responsible for data analytics (Incl. omnichannel analytics), data acquisition, setting up data governance and help in enabling the technological infrastructure to house and analyze the data to derive actionable outputs.
The individual will lead a team with diverse skill sets that will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing comprehensive analytics strategies by leveraging data-driven insights to enhance business operations and data-driven decision making across the commercial organization
Have knowledge of developing analytical models and predictive algorithms
Build the bridge between commercial and IT to identify key business questions and provide appropriate solutions.
Enable the organization to achieve superior business results in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and company growth by utilizing internal and external data in value-adding ways to generate competitive advantage.
Support commercial strategy development with data-driven use cases such as analysis of customer behavior, opportunities to grow sales and optimize profit.
Support the development and deployment of the enterprise's analytics platforms for digital business and omnichannel marketing excellence.
Ensure that IT data supports commercial with the required architecture and infrastructure.
Lead, manage and develop the data & advanced analytics team ensuring quality delivery.
Develop the future vision of advanced data analytics and pilot new approaches together with franchises and affiliates.
Oversee the advanced analytics team’s successful delivery against the defined targets and priorities.
Challenge and oversee in a centralized manner the sourcing of external data to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Establish and manage relationships with key vendors and external partners
Requirements
10+ years in data analytics, IT, consulting or other business
Understanding of Oncology specific and relevant pharmaceutical industry data sets, specially for the US
Passionate in leveraging data science, automation and artificial intelligence to drive value creation and meaningful optimization through innovation and creative a positive ROI through delivery of actionable insights.
Having worked in a country organization or a start-up is a plus.
Previous experience in the data/analytics field required
Ability to work within large and complex organizations
Good communicator and able to connect data and its insights within the team and with various stakeholders
Learn about Oncology therapy area and company’s business needs to ensure analytical outputs meet business needs
Prior team management experience
Ability to adapt in a quickly changing environment
