As a Sr. Database Engineer II, you'll assess the impact of changes to data structures and data processing, and lead database and data engineering tasks in support of system changes. What you'll do: * Plan, design, develop, and manage an organization's databases to ensure efficient data storage, access, and security. * Collaborate with users to design, code, test, debug, and deploy databases that meet requirements and organizational needs. * Write queries, stored procedures and functions for database development. * Monitor databases' performance, scalability, and security and modifies procedures to optimize database designs. * Evaluate existing database design to determine necessary updates, performance tuning, and integration requirements. * Possess comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and solid coding and computer system skills. What you'll need to succeed: * 7+ years experience of various database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL. * A bachelor's degree * An Active DoD Secret clearance. * A current IAT Level I certification like CCNA-Security, CND, or Network+ CE * Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. * Proficiency in database administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security management, and user management. * Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques, including ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and data marts. * Experience with cloud-based database services offered by major cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure).
