Sr Database Developer/Analyst

Part of a small team that works on a number projects and tickets supporting and developing using MS SQL server databases. This position will deal with integration, development and support projects in the data department.

• Architecting, designing, and building enterprise applications using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Establishing project plans, goals and objectives, and capacity planning for development efforts.
• Working with application development and engineering teams to identify database needs and integration.
• Identifying business requirements and functional specification for development efforts. "
• Create, maintain, and enforce development strategies for best practice application development including proper coding standards, code reviews, and deployments.
• Support database developers in the creation of technical design specification from acceptance criteria of user stories.
• T-SQL expertise - in implementing schema designs, coding complex stored procedures and migrating data between SQL Server databases based on technical designs.
• Utilizing Azure DevOps for source code management, continuous integration, and build and release processes.
• Using SQL Server security model to implement least privilege access for applications.
• Responsible for design, implementation, and execution of database aspects of recovery processes. Including maintaining database specific documentation for disaster recovery plans.
• Responsible for the optimal performance of all databases. Takes necessary means including performance Tuning of existing and new database objects.
• Manage day-to-day 3rd tier support and strategic direction to ensure the application's overall health.
• Experience with Cloud Database technologies a plus; implementation and usage.
• Experience with Datalakes, Snowflake or other data management solutions a plus. The right candidate is a good culture fit if they are:
