Job Title: Sr. Data Quality Consultant
Department/Team:Data Management Office (DMO) / Chief Data Office (CDO)
Job type: Temporary, Duration: 12 months
The Sr. Data Quality Analyst is a hands-on role with industry experience in Data quality management with a good working experience other core data management capabilities (e.g., Data Governance, Data Lineage, Metadata and Reference data management), from a business and technical perspective, within the Financial Services Industry. In addition, the candidate should be able to handle multiple work efforts at the same time with minimal supervision and guidance. He/she should be a self-starter and team player and should be able to engage stakeholders (within and outside DMO/CDO) and execute on projects from start to finish.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist the DQ campaign lead to develop strategy and construct for a bank-wide DQ campaign (vision-mission, objective, stakeholder and leadership buy-in, timeline, roadmap, resource requirement etc.)
* Lead the roadshows for DQ campaign to obtain stakeholder buy-in and commitment
* Develop detailed roadmap, project plan etc. for execution of the DQ campaign
* Lead DQ enhancement projects for Front End/Middle Office/Back Office processes spanning core banking products with an understanding of Commercial Bank operations
* Develop multiple levels of preventive and detective data controls (onboarding, data entry points etc.)
* Assist in vendor analysis for the data quality tools/technologies
* Liaise with stakeholders across the Branch regarding their data processes and support efforts to enhance enterprise-wide data quality management and policy adoption
* Develop status reporting, executive level communication and other internal/external communication (e.g., Internal audit, regulators) to demonstrate the efficacy of the DQ campaign
* Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for the remediation of data quality issues
* Manage all project management activities, including but not limited to, status updates, project plan updates/maintenance, socialization of deliverables with the stakeholders etc.
Experience and Skills required:
* 10-12 year experience in data quality and data governance, preferably in the banking sector
* Strong experience in enterprise data domains, data relationships, data usage, applicable DQ rules and the associated inherent issues by 1/2/3 line of defense
* Should have hands-on understanding of data management capabilities, data quality, data lineage etc.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advance PowerPoint and Excel skills preferred.
* Must have strong communication skills and suitable in teamwork environment.
* Must be proactive and analytical to evaluate and solve problems independently.
* Must be able to work under pressure with the team and deliver results in a timely manner.
* Must be willing to learn, self-driven and responsible.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor/Master degree in finance or related field
* Advanced degree in data management, analytics etc. is preferred
