Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Onsite within the Southeastern Region

Description

The Senior Data Engineer will oversee ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling, ensuring robust and efficient data infrastructure. This role focuses on SQL Server technologies and the transition to cloud-based solutions, with an emphasis on clear communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration.

Utilize SQL Server technologies, including SSMS and SSIS, for data management and transformation.

Design and implement data warehouses, operational data stores, and data models.

Debug existing SSIS packages and enhance data processing workflows.

Collaborate with teams to derive business logic from code and refine metadata structures.

Support the migration to cloud environments with expertise in Azure.

Maintain and improve data modeling practices to optimize schemas and structures.

Utilize tools like GitHub and Jira to track and manage development tasks in a waterfall environment.

Required Skills

7+ years of experience in ETL processes and SQL Server development.

Expertise in T-SQL, including dynamic SQL, open query, and merges.

5+ years of experience in data warehousing and data modeling.

Familiarity with metadata objects and schema optimization.

1-2 years of experience with SSIS for debugging and process improvement.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills

Experience in the healthcare industry.

Familiarity with tools like DBSchema and data modeling best practices.
