About The Role
We are seeking a
Senior Healthcare Data Analyst II to join the Clinical Operations Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations, this position plays a critical role in measuring and evaluating care quality for Mass General Brigham Health Plan members. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, self-directed, and experienced in healthcare data, and will serve as a mentor to junior analysts.
You will partner with multiple departments including Clinical, Contracting, Network Management, and Medical Economics to deliver insights that inform decision-making and drive improvements in member care. Additionally, you’ll support regulatory reporting requirements at both state and federal levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.
- Lead evaluations of clinical and disease management programs.
- Support accountable care organization and alternative payment model efforts.
- Analyze MassHealth Quality Reporting and CAHPS survey data.
- Assist with HEDIS reporting and software, including the HEDIS Roadmap.
- Perform quality checks and deliver timely, accurate analysis.
- Independently manage analyses to assess program effectiveness and utilization trends.
- Develop and maintain reports for MassHealth, NCQA, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on internal data systems (Data Warehouse, Dashboards, SAS, etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote service integration and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior analysts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, healthcare, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in healthcare data analysis.
- Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, Excel, and statistical modeling tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in statistics, computer science, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in the healthcare payer industry.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC, Athena).
- Regulatory reporting experience.
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial health plans.
