What You’ll Be Doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Shared Platform Technology (SPT) as a Sr. Consultant in ECIS Governance team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring governance frameworks, facilitating audits, and providing recommendations to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Strategy and Roadmap: Contribute to governance & audit roadmaps that are aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with various stakeholders to address compliance gaps. Develop and maintain corporate governance framework, policies, and procedures
  • Relationship building - Serve as a liaison between management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Leveraging technology - Become a technology expert by ensure that ECIS adheres to statutory, regulatory and industry standards

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 8-10+ years’ experience software development cycle with at least 2+ years in the Governance and Audit areas
  • Have facilitate Governance weekly meetings, including agenda, preparation, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Plan, execute and oversee internal and external audits
  • Identify risks and weakness in internal controls and recommend corrective actions
  • Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • You will be able to adapt to the fast-paced environment.

  • You have a degree/diploma: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline.
