Description
When you order from Amazon, your item gets put into a box and then handed off to our team, Sort Tech, to sort it into containers that are then loaded onto trucks or airplanes and routed through our transportation network towards your home. Packages often travel through multiple Amazon buildings before they arrive at your doorstep. Sort Tech builds the software within these buildings to automate and orchestrate the sorting of millions of packages every day at lightning speed to ensure they reach customers' doorsteps when promised. Our mission is to build the most efficient and optimal transportation system on the planet using our engineering muscle as our biggest advantage. And we need your data expertise to help us do it!
We are looking for a Sr. BI Engineer to join our Sort Tech Labor team to help us introduce ambitious new labor management automation programs to make key real-time decisions that will help Amazon ship packages faster to customers and at lower cost than ever before. As part of this team you will work with executive leaders, engineering, product, science, and operations stakeholders to use data to uncover insights, generate ideas, validate entitlement, partner with engineering teams to use data to guide iterative product development, run randomized controlled trials, develop robust metrics, and quantify impact. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. You will be employed by a giant company, yet feel like you are a part of a small startup team working fast to innovate and make incredible things happen at "Amazon scale".
