Global Services (GS), Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) is actively seeking a Technical Business Integrator to partner with internal business and Technology at Lilly partners to establish solution designs.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Technical Business Integrator is responsible for partnering with all functions within the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Tech@Lilly organization to accelerate business value delivery. Additionally, this individual will have responsibilities to partner in planning, execution, and support of business-critical objectives in Global Records and Information Management (RIM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Ethics & Compliance (E&C).
This role will work with the solution architects to deliver end-to-end solutions, aligned to Lilly operational, architectural, security, and design standards and principles, as well as overseeing the implementation of that strategy.
Implementation includes planning, analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying large-scale business solutions in response to business needs.
A Technical Business Integrator possesses a deep working knowledge of application architectures, platform capabilities, and cloud solutions. In this role you will partner with Lilly E&C, IRM, and Global RIM business partners, EBS leaders, project sponsors/owners, and external suppliers to design and implement applications, platforms, and cloud solutions across the technology portfolio.
Additionally, this position will partner with the E&C and Global RIM business and EBS team to deliver on key objectives and enable transformation initiatives.
How You’ll Succeed
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and assists with developing system designs and requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business.
- Lead requirements capturing exercises, understanding the “what” and “why” from a business perspective before figuring out technology “how”. Partner with internal and external technical teams to understand and influence the appropriate menu of technologies and tools to be used for solution delivery efforts.
- Provide deliverables like standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs (focused on detailed design principles, detailed APIs, major systems and dependencies between business and IT) to help guide the architecture lifecycle and assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT estate.
- Analyzes the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement.
- Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.
- Supports product managers in product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire products, services, or systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information). Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes associated with Tech @ Lilly working across multiple teams.
What You Should Bring
All Technical Business Integrator roles should have a foundational set of knowledge in:- Demonstrated communication, leadership, teamwork, project delivery, and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in architectural processes (e.g. blueprinting, reference architecture, governance, etc.).
- Experience designing or delivering AI enabled products or services
- Health care industry knowledge and business acumen
- Experience as an autonomous IT leader leading large-scale portfolios and sophisticated high demanding customers.
- Demonstrated ability to influence IT and business strategies to drive large-scale outcomes.
- Experience with formal project management methodologies, agile frameworks (including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and working knowledge of associated practices and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across agile and diverse teams.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, like PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
- Knowledge of frontend web development languages, like JavaScript, React.js, HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of various backend development languages, like node.js and Python
- AWS or Microsoft Certified Cloud Solution Architect Professional
- Experience with cloud-based provide Restful API services for integrations.
- Experience with support of high availability environments (servers, storage & database) and complex disaster recovery systems
- Knowledge of enterprise networking architecture
- Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively about complex business problems and resolve these through new approaches.
- Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience or related field
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience using AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, CloudFormation, and API Gateway)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Agile, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with modern security protocols such as OAuth, JSON Web Tokens, Kerberos, TLS/SSL
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience SQL and SSMS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in integrating on hybrid cloud solutions
