The Sr Analyst, Data Management and Analytics collaborates with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to define and prioritize business data and reporting needs. The role works closely with the Data Analyst and provide technical support
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust reporting solutions using Fabric Platform primarily Power BI, Data Pipelines, Data Flows, and Semantic models.
Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Optimize data reporting pipelines for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Triage issues and provide cost effective and timely solutions.
Design and implement reporting data models (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) to support various analytical and operational needs.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align on overall data architecture and reporting strategy fits within the company data architecture.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, HIPPA); ensure security and scalability of the cloud data platform.
Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Document data domains, reporting data flows, and processes.
Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance.
Lead technical projects and initiatives.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for enterprise data reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study from an accredited college or university. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience.
6+ years of professional experience in data analytics and reporting development, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy or similar.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks or Redshift or similar.
Experience with reporting data modeling and database design principles.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Preferred
Experience in healthcare data reporting.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in EPIC EHR application reporting tools Clarity, and Caboodle.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to evangelize data-driven culture within the organization.
Ability to keep up to date with the latest developments in data reporting technologies.
Ability to take scope and business requirement documents and break them down to user stories.
Understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.) to analyze and improve sprint velocity and work quality.
Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the work quality.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
