We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and drive efficiency in our accounting processes.

Job Summary

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls of our logistics operations. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management in the logistics sector, including revenue recognition for transportation and warehousing, cost accounting, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership to enhance financial performance and support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations.
• Revenue & Cost Accounting: Manage revenue recognition for logistics contracts, freight billing, and cost allocation for warehousing and transportation expenses.
• Accounts Receivable & Payable Oversight: Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, optimizing cash flow.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of financial records through accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Internal Controls & Audit Support: Strengthen internal controls, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure tax compliance.
• Operational Finance Support: Provide financial insights to improve pricing strategies, cost efficiency, and profitability of logistics services.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify and implement efficiencies in financial processes, leveraging NetSuite and automation tools.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
• Experience: 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain finance is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite) and strong Excel skills. Experience with transportation management systems is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with freight billing, cost allocation for warehousing and fleet operations, and regulatory reporting.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, change management, and communication abilities, with a proactive approach to process improvement.
