Summary

Are you a skilled SQL Server Developer with a passion for data, reporting, and business intelligence?


We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Developer and Report Writer to play a key role in supporting database administration, SQL development, and reporting services at Practice Plus Group.


In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data integration, extraction, and reporting solutions, ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of our database systems. You will also contribute to business intelligence initiatives and support critical decision-making processes across the organisation.


As our SQL Server Developer and Report Writer you will be:

  • Leading SQL Server development, including Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Designing and managing database structures, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Developing ETL processes for efficient data extraction and transformation.
  • Providing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports using complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Performing database administration tasks, ensuring stability, security, and performance optimisation.
  • Supporting data warehouses and managing all database environments (development, test, and production).
  • Collaborating with Application Specialists and Business Systems teams to maintain data accuracy and improve reporting quality.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and maintaining robust documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in SQL Server development and database administration.
  • Strong skills in T-SQL, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
  • Expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience working with data extraction, transformation, and business intelligence reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable:

  • Experience in C#.NET, APIs, JavaScript, and XML transforms.
  • Knowledge of source control systems (TFS, Visual SourceSafe).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions.


What you can expect in return:

  • A salary range of £40,000 - £43,000 depending on experience
