SQL / Power BI Developer

We are seeking a motivated SQL / Power BI Developer with strong SQL, ETL, and Microsoft Power BI skills to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SQL development and Power BI reporting, with a focus on creating efficient data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics. This role involves developing ad-hoc queries, generating views, and building Power BI reports to support dynamic business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, including ad-hoc queries, to address business data requirements.
• Design, create, and maintain database views and external tables in Azure Synapse SQL databases.
• Perform ETL operations to extract, transform, and load data for reporting and analytics.
• Update and enhance existing Power BI reports to meet evolving business needs.
• Create new Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize data insights effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in SQL development, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
• Significant experience with Microsoft Power BI, including report creation and dashboard development.
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, including SQL databases, external tables, and views.
• Ability to create and manage database objects (e.g., views, stored procedures) in a SQL environment.
• Experience with ad-hoc query development to support business data requests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
• Years of relevant experience in SQL development and Power BI reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Synapse SQL pools and external table configurations.
• Knowledge of data modeling and database optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Git for version control in Azure Synapse Studio or similar environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
