Job Summary

Softpal is seeking a talented and experienced SQL Developer to manage, design, and maintain efficient databases for a wide array of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of T-SQL, SQL Server technologies, and database architecture principles. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and supporting critical decision-making through data.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and optimize SQL databases for various business applications

Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring reliability and efficiency

Create and maintain complex stored procedures, views, and functions

Independently troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in real-time

Perform database tuning, performance improvements, and capacity planning

Design, automate, and refine regular ETL and data reporting processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices

Conduct data analysis and develop insights to drive business strategy

Produce clear documentation, reports, and dashboards for internal teams

Implement data modeling techniques to ensure data integrity and scalability

Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve internal processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and relational database design

Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), SSRS, and SSAS

Familiarity with ETL concepts and performance tuning best practices

Understanding of NoSQL/NewSQL databases (basic familiarity is sufficient)

Proficiency in tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), MS Access, and Excel

Solid understanding of data warehousing and reporting strategies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, DBAs, and business stakeholders

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
