SQL Developer

Hybrid Role (Based in the North East)

£30,000 - £35,000 Dependent on Experience

An established Finance Business Intelligence (BI) team is seeking a skilled SQL Developer. The successful candidate will take on an end-to-end development role, working primarily with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and managing all ETL and Data Warehousing processes to support evolving business reporting needs.

Responsibilities

• Write structured SQL code to ensure effective data manipulation and retrieval.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues with datasets, reports, stored procedures, views, and jobs.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and met.
• Design intuitive, user-focused reports tailored to business needs.
• Follow established testing and change management protocols.
• Document new processes to support clarity and future maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong data modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL development, ideally within SSMS.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and processes.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
