We develop and manage the operation of products within, among others, Payroll, Finance, Employee Administration, Organization and Management Information for customers in the public sector in Denmark. The job

Employees in public institutions expect to receive the right salary at the right time, and it is our responsibility to ensure that this happens. Payroll is complex, so high quality in our solutions and in our deliveries is important to ensure high customer satisfaction. The Data & BI Team contributes to creating the best data foundation to help our customers make the right decisions.

All data is extracted from our various source systems, and it ends up in DB2 or Oracle tables. We collect it all together in our Data Warehouse, where we process and structure the data so that it can be presented either on sd.dk/sddw (SAS) or via our IBM-Cognos solution that reads data from our ms-sqlserver.

You can look forward to a daily routine with tasks such as;

• Operation/monitoring of data flow to DW and BI primarily decentralized, but also Host.
• 3rd level technical support (customer inquiries that our colleagues in support need help with).
• Bug fixing from DataInput to DataOutput.
• Update security/service packs/hot-fixes on our MS-Server and SAS installation.
• Troubleshooting/Data Detective.
• Analysis and task description in connection with new customer requirements/tasks.
• Development on and of our existing platform and technology stack.
• Data strategy. Where are we going in the long term.
• Management and maintenance of a platform with great complexity.
• Ensure high quality in the solution through reviews and testing.
  
  

You bring knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following competencies in the toolbox.

Primary competencies in the position:

• Microsoft SQL server
• SSIS
• SQL Performance
  
  

Secondary competencies in the position:

• Visual Studio
• TFS/GIT
• SAS backend
• Linux
• Oracle queries
• Database: Oracle and DB2
• DB2 queries AQT
• Understanding of Data architecture, concepts such as Fact/Dimensions, Star schema and Snowflake.
  
  

To be successful in the role, it is important that you

• Have strong analytical skills, and have the courage to familiarize yourself with a complex area
• Are good at communicating with colleagues around you, whether it is e.g. is a business developer a colleague from the support or sales team
• Can collaborate in a global setup with colleagues in both Denmark and Poland, so it is important that you are fluent in English, both spoken and written
• And not least, that you are a team player who offers energy, mood and the will to succeed.
