The SQL Database Administrator (DBA) will manage and maintain a large number of databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. This role involves working with modern database technologies, supporting high-availability environments, and optimizing systems to meet organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in scripting, database clustering, and cloud environments while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Required Skills
5-9 years of experience managing Microsoft SQL databases across various versions.
Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL scripting.
Experience with Windows/SQL clustering and high-availability technologies (e.g., SQL replication, log shipping, Always-On Availability Groups).
Expertise in managing data integration, analytics, and reporting tools such as SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Familiarity with auditing tools and regulatory controls (e.g., Idera, SOX).
Experience managing databases in secure zones (e.g., DMZ).
Desired Skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
Experience with Oracle database management.
Ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SQL database solutions.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
