Job Responsibilities-

1. Takes up technical tasks and support day to day BAU tasks/Incidents/RFC’s.
2. Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
3. Proposes service improvements for all Oracle/EBS services supported throughout the organisation.
4. Provides technical knowledge, supports services both proactively and reactively to maintain the availability and reliability of database system infrastructure in accordance to the SLA.
5. Works in line with policies based on LEAN-CA-CIB best practices.
6. Actively engages during any high severity issue and drives for issue resolution.
7. Reviews technology changes to identify potential risks.
8. Supports his/her team during diagnosis when technical issues rise in his/her scope of expertise.
9. Is aware of the global IT structure so that he/she anticipates interrelationships within the organisation.
10. Engages with technical peer, Development team, Service managers, Architect and project teams on technology roadmap and projects.
11. Facilitates transformation projects and suggest future directions for new areas of improvement and enhancements.
12. Guarantees the production readiness.
13. Is available and able to drive technically, any complex or high severity incidents that occur within the scope of their role.
14. Actively engages to understand new technologies and technology trends and reviews them with a view to incorporate them into Bank operations.
15. 24x7 Production support including scheduled and emergency night and weekend work.
16. Follow the IT service management guideline while working with tools like Service Now.
17. Preparedness to work in Shifts in rotation.

Skills Required-

1. Must have strong technical knowledge in MSSQL 2014 & above Administration.
2. Execution of backup/recovery procedures and DB refreshes.
3. Should have handled database installations as MSSQL DBA.
4. Creation and Maintenance of Database Instances
5. Event, database performance and availability monitoring.
6. Exposure to Logical and Physical database design and Implementation.
7. Install, configuring, applying patches to MSSQL servers.
8. Knowledge and experience in Replication, Log Shipping, Clustering, Always On in SQL 2005 above– configure and basic troubleshooting.
9. Backup monitoring, verification.
10. Applying Database patches, upgrade and migration
11. OS level activities related to database tasks.
12. Log, scheduled Job Management through Control-M or similar products.
13. Schema Object, Partition Management.
14. Expertise in handling Database Maintenance related to Index and DBCC.
15. Hands on expertise in Performance tuning.
16. Development support/ debugging performance issues.
17. Windows administration experience desired.
18. Well averse with DB Scripting, SQL Profiler, Extended Events, Query Analyzer and Query Store and Intelligent query processing.
19. Experience on ITIL/operations and production support

Key Competencies-

1. Minimum 5yrs of relevant experience in MSSQL/MSBI database administration.
2. The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
3. Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment.
4. Good Oral and Written communication skills
5. Good knowledge on PowerShell/Python and T-SQL Scripting.
6. Having MSSQL/MSBI certification will be added advantage.
7. Having previous banking BAU support will be added advantage
8. Flexible to work on 24*7 rotational shifts

Educational Qualifications-

1. Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information/Computer technology preferred.
