We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Responsibilities
Administer and maintain database systems including MySQL and other relational databases.
Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
Utilize PL/SQL and Shell Scripting for automation of routine tasks.
Monitor database health and performance metrics to identify potential issues proactively.
Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas that meet application requirements.
Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data against unauthorized access.
Conduct regular database audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Provide support for data migration projects using SSIS or similar tools.
Requirements
Proven experience in database administration with a strong focus on MySQL or similar databases.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Shell Scripting.
Familiarity with data integration tools like SSIS is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues effectively.
Knowledge of best practices in database design, maintenance, and security protocols.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
