Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain database systems including MySQL and other relational databases.
• Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Utilize PL/SQL and Shell Scripting for automation of routine tasks.
• Monitor database health and performance metrics to identify potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas that meet application requirements.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data against unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular database audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide support for data migration projects using SSIS or similar tools.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in database administration with a strong focus on MySQL or similar databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Shell Scripting.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like SSIS is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues effectively.
• Knowledge of best practices in database design, maintenance, and security protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
