Firetrol is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager/Field Superintendent for our Tempe AZ, office. The successful candidate would be self-motivated, experienced with scheduling manpower, creating FAB lists, ordering material, working with the AHJ for permitting sprinkler plans, capable of tracking project financials of construction and service projects.

• Leads the sprinkler field for scheduling of projects
• Works with the GC or end user customers to ensure project schedule are met
• Reviews all design drawings in detail before fabrication
• Reviews submittals for size, quantity and design to ensure they meet engineer requirements, will fit in available space, and are compatible with equipment purchased from other vendors
• Creates FAB lists and orders material for projects
• Coordinates the permitting of sprinkler plans with the AHJ
• Attends project meetings and jobsite visits, as needed. Performs site surveys as required
• Tracks the project financials and identifies cost savings and/or possible impacts
• Review time cards
• Documents and advises all parties of any discrepancies, unclear intent or missing information that will affect coordination or design intent
• Communicates with the field foremen throughout the design process, making notes of any necessary changes made as a result of coordination
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years fire sprinkler installation experience
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience
• CSA2 (if expired) ability to receive with in 90days
• Must be familiar with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 25 and FM Global Standards
• Technical understanding of Fire Sprinkler Design including Wet, Dry, Preaction, and Deluge type systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
