Education Requirement
- Master's degree (M. A.); or four-ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibility Overview
- Assessment: Reviews client history, conducts thorough assessments or screenings, communicates results to clients and families, and documents findings.
- Planning: Identifies needs, establishes treatment goals, and communicates plans to clients, families, and healthcare team members, collaborating for timely discharge planning.
- Implementation: Prioritizes and implements treatment interventions based on client needs, communicates treatment purpose, and documents daily interventions.
- Evaluation: Evaluates intervention effectiveness, reassesses care plans, communicates changes to clients/families, and completes discharge documentation.
- Program Development & Professional Growth: Develops new programs, supervises students, provides training, participates in continuing education, and engages in facility inservices and committees.
