PART TIME POSITION
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is crucial in providing effective therapy and support to enhance the communication skills of individuals across various age groups, particularly in pediatric settings. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
Develop and implement personalized speech therapy programs tailored to individual needs.
Provide direct therapy services to patients, focusing on improving communication skills through evidence-based practices.
Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for improvement.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, occupational therapists, and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology to enhance therapeutic practices.
Participate in early intervention programs for children with developmental delays or disorders.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred; familiarity with school settings is a plus.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to create effective treatment plans.
Compassionate approach to patient care with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on individual patient needs.
