We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Specialist to join our team for the 2024-2025 academic year. This full-time, onsite position involves working with a diverse caseload across various elementary campuses and a high school.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 50 students.
Collaborate with other SLPs, SLPA, and educational staff to support student communication needs.
Supervise and mentor SLPAs and potentially Clinical Fellows (CF) as needed.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
Conduct assessments and provide interventions tailored to individual student needs.
Caseload Distribution
Elementary Campuses:
Assist from a bilingual SLPA or Para at one location.
Participate in a 3-year-old PACS program alongside another SLP at another campus, dividing students between them.
Manage a caseload primarily consisting of English-speaking students at one school.
Collaborate with two SLP-CCC and a part-time SLPA at a large campus.
Supervise a CF or SLPA at another campus.
Share responsibilities with a full-time virtual SLP at one school.
High School: Provide services to students at the high school and 9th-grade center.
Requirements
Active SLP License/Certification in the state of Texas.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
Experience in a school setting is preferred.
