Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. You will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals, particularly children, by helping them develop effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both clinical practice and educational settings. Visits are conducted weekly for 1 hour in the child's home, daycare or natural environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify speech and language disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills in patients. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress. Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to speech and language functions. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices. Experience in patient assessment techniques for diagnosing communication disorders. Background in early intervention strategies for pediatric patients is preferred. Strong patient care skills with the ability to build rapport with children and their families. Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is a plus. Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) from an accredited institution is required.
